Bake off session

Hey,
So yesterday I got the urge to have my very own ‘Bake Off’ session. I originally just wanted to bake some blueberry muffins, then when I was out getting the blueberries I remembered about a Nutella brownie recipe I have wanted to try for ages.
As they are both really simple and quick things to make, I decided to do them both.
When I got back home I did the usual baking prep, wiping down worktops, getting all the ingredients and bowls I would need out.
Then I got to work on the baking! First I made the Nutella brownies. So for this it’s really simple ingredients, only 3 needed!! Just 2 eggs, 280g of Nutella and 62g of sugar. Then once you have measured all that out, you just shove it all in one big bowl and mix it together until it just basically looks like melted chocolate. Place the mixture on a tray with greaseproof paper to prevent it sticking to the tray then put in the oven for 15 minutes 175oC.
Then you have some yummy Nutella Brownies!

I just found the recipe on twitter, someone had helpfully tweeted it.

Next I made the blueberry muffins while the brownies were in the oven.
All you need for these are 150g of blueberries, 300g of self-raising flour, 50g of butter, 90g of caster sugar, 2 eggs, 225ml of milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Simple!
Put the flour into a big bowl and using your hands rub in the butter (this is the fun and extremely messy part!) Do this until it looks like small breadcrumbs.
Once that’s done you need to stir in the blueberries and sugar.
Then find another bowl and put the milk in there then add the 2 eggs that you have already beaten. Also put in the vanilla extract and mix together, lightly.
Then you need to go and find the other bowl with the flour, butter, salt and blueberries in. Make a little hole in the middle of the ingredients and pour in the milky mixture from the other bowl. Do this slowly and carefully so it doesn’t go everywhere!
Once it’s all in, fold the milky mixture in with the rest of it until it looks like cake mixture.
Pour all the mixture into your muffin cases and put them in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 oC.
Be careful when getting the muffins out of the hot oven! Make sure you use oven gloves to prevent any burns.
Then take the muffins out of the tray and place them on a cooling rack.
I got the measurements for the ingredients off BBC Good Food.
