The Best 4 Books For A BookWorm

Yes, yes I am a major book worm! So I figured it would only be right to share my current top four books with you. All a little (or a lot) different, some humour, some thrillers and some that tug on them heart strings.
I'd love to hear your book recommendations in the comments below too!

First we have the incredible Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine
by Gail Honeyman.
Wow! What a book. It's funny, emotional, heart wrenching; everything you want in a book. The detail you get in this book is incredible.
I was blown away by Eleanor and actually missed her once I'd finished the book. The book makes you think hard about the way we view people we come across throughout our lives.
Everyone needs a bit of Eleanor in their lives.

My next firm favourite is a thriller. One that kept shocking me
at every opportunity; What You Did by Claire McGowan.

A very raw, shocking and twisted thriller based on a
group of old uni friends who are doing a reunion at one
couples home. When someone gets attacked during what
was supposed to be a great evening filled with laughter,
old stories being told and a fair bit of wine, who will the attacker
be?

The Girl On The Train by Paula Hawkins, this gave me feels
like few other books have before.
It was the first adult thriller I had read and it made me fall in
love with thrillers.
It's gory, it's disturbing and it's gripping; everything you want
and more for a thriller.
The leading lady to this book completely sealed me in despite
her problems. I would recommend anyone to read this as it;s
a real page turner.

So let's come away from thrillers for a second yeah?
Okay well I'm going to talk about The Break by
Marian Keyes. I found this book so readable.
It was based on a married woman with teenage
children, a bit of a different read for me! I loved it
though, found it funny, emotional and empowering.

Pancakes Galore!

Jumper - Dorothy Perkins
Happy belated pancake day guys!
Did you have your fair share of pancakes yesterday? I know I sure did! From savoury to sweet, I did them all!
Every single year I sit down to eat my pancakes and say to my mum "why don't we have these more often? They are so good" and then just say the same thing the following year!
But hey, I guess that's why pancake day is so special, because pancakes aren't something we have all the time.
I had a whole mix of things on my pancakes. I started off with cheese melted into them, then went for one with blueberries on top with maple syrup drizzled over the top then finished off having one with some good old Nutella because you can't beat a bit of Nutella I don't think.
What did you have on your pancakes? Make sure you let me know in the comments!
Whatever you decided to have on your pancakes, I hope you had an awesome day and enjoyed every  mouthful!

Where Have I Been On YouTube?

Hey guys,
I thought it was about time I explained to you all where I have been on my YouTube channel.
Let's say things got busier than I thought they would!
In the beginning I was absolutely loving making videos and honestly started thinking YouTube was taking up less time than blogging was. This definitely turned out not to be true.
I used to film my videos on an ipad and use an app to edit all of them. This started to take more and more of my time up. I didn't mind this, however it didn't go well with the levels of college work I also had to be doing.
It became too much work to be able to juggle both. I was also abandoning my blog because of it, which I really didn't want to be doing.

I decided, not only for the sake of my college work, but also because of my blog, to pause my YouTube channel for now.  I am for sure not saying I am 'quitting' YouTube.
For now my main priorities are college work and growing my blog.

Speak soon my lovelies.

Good Friends and Good Food

Today has been a day filled with amazing family friends and loads of yummy foods on a lovely summers Sunday afternoon.
Therefore it is something I wanted to document, more quietly, on here to be able to look back on in the future.

I mean, I am supposed to be eating healthily at the moment but sometimes, just sometimes, these things just have to be done, right?

These are for sure the days I look back on and think 'yeah that was a pretty sound day'
Doing this kind of thing is definitely something I would like to do more of as it isn't very often we all get together.
Even our little doggy behaved perfectly!

Why I Don't Have An Instagram Theme

Recently, especially, I have been hearing so many people talking of Instagram themes. I began thinking to myself  'why don't I have an Instagram theme?'
The reason? I want to have fun on my Insta page and for it to be filled with whatever I want it to filled with. I want to be able to put any picture up without thinking 'ahh I can't because it won't go with my theme'
I honestly really admire people who do have an Instagram theme and think they look so good, I don't think I would have the discipline/patience to do this.

I asked myself the other day, would I have a bigger following if I had an Insta theme? Possibly. But do I really care enough about a number to not put all the pictures I want on there. No. I want to have fun with it and show what I have been up to or who I have been with without worrying about any theme.
I also love being able to look back on what I have been up to or where I have been. For me, my Instagram is filled with memories.

Who knows, maybe one day I will have a change of heart and decide I want to have a crack at it, but for now I hope you enjoy all my fun, happy, crazy images I upload to my Insta on a daily basis.

Let me know in the comments what your views are on Insta themes!

I arrived to find they had put up a banner and balloons for me! I had no idea they even knew it was my birthday so it was a lovely surprise.
I also got given this AMAZING balloon from my mum!

THEN in the evening it was time for my big party.

I had the most amazing day/night with all my gorgeous family and friends. It will definitely be one I will never forget.

Weekly Roundup | Trying Something New, Deadlines And Being A Marshal

Well this week has been a long one. It's been filled with friends, deadlines, and a new experience!
The week started off with getting ready and prepared for deadline day at college, which usually means most people in a panic! However, it was all okay. I handed in all of my book work in along with my final evaluation. I don't have to hand in my finished backpack until next week so that bit was okay (or at least slightly better!)
This is the design of the main part of my bag which is so unusual but I am loving!

For a while now I have wanted to try using a backpack. I have seen so many of them about but never really took that much of an interest in them. When I was looking through New Look's backpack range I found my perfect backpack.
I have used it so much already considering it only came on Thursday!

The final thing that happened this week which is worthy of talking about is that I was a marshal this morning for the Wilmslow half marathon!
I only found out I was doing it on Wednesday and it was totally unexpected. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't really too sure about it and thought it was going to be a bit boring. HOW wrong was I??!!! I honestly had so much fun doing it. There was such a good atmosphere and the people were all so nice. It would definitely be something I would consider doing again.

My final bit is something quite exciting.
I have set up my own YouTube channel!! I uploaded my first video last night which is just a very short, simple introduction to my channel.
I will leave the video here and leave a link to my channel. Please have a watch and go subscribe! It really would mean the world to me.
Click here to visit my channel.

Happy International Women's Day Ladies

Hello you lovely lot,
So, I know International Women's Day was yesterday but I REALLY wanted to get involved and have my own little say in my own little corner of this big, wild web.
There is so much I could say on women's rights, empowering women and just the general greatness of women, however I don't want to bore you so I am going to keep this post super brief.

These days we have so many strong, smart, confident, empowering women to look up to for our roe models. I'm not just talking about the amazing women in our families, I am talking about the women who are out in the public eye, the ones who get slammed by the press on what they are wearing or how they have there hair and make-up done, but oh much more they have to offer than the way the way they look. These women have a brain in there head and aren't afraid of using it.

Two of the most powerful roles in Britain are taken by women -
Our queen
The Prime Minister - Theresa May

In a world that, at times can still be seen as a very male dominated world, women are kicking butt! Women are coming into power more and more and I am so grateful to be witnessing this great change.

I read today that a woman named Briony Clarke has just become the youngest woman in the UK to become a judge aged 31. If you would like to read more on that click here to read the article I found.

Us girls need to be sticking together and should be empowering, motivating and supporting one another.
Let me know in the comments who the woman is that you look up to the most.

Girls, it's our time!

Recap of 2016

Hey guys,
It's the last blog of 2016! How mad is that?! We've reached the end of the year!
It really has been one hell of a year. It's been such a roller-coaster and it has flown by! There has been highs and lows (as every year brings) but there's been some awful lows and some amazing highs!
There has been a lot of change for me this year and because of them I feel I have grown massively as a  person.
I started the year at sixth form, not really knowing where I was going: now ending this year at college on an amazing path heading towards a career within the fashion industry ad knowing more what I want out of life.
I have done more on my blog - getting my logo, taking part in blogmas and interacting more with other bloggers! I am definitely most proud of my CoppaFeel blog post I did. That was definitely a highlight of 2016 for me!

I have travelled to new places this year, seen new things and met some amazing people who are definitely friends for life and people I will keep in touch with. I have created mew ambitions and new goals.
It has been a very busy year I would say, that has thrown in sadness, happiness, hard work, partying, new people and a lot of good memories to look back on.
Some of it has been a bit of a whirlwind that doesn't seem to have been wanting to slow down at times.
I won't lie, there's a big part of me that is very glad to see the back of 2016 but I am for sure ready for a new year and ready to make so many more crazy, happy and fun memories.

Anyway, I think all that's left to say is HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
I hope you all have an amazing 2017!
Meg x
