Just thought I'd check in with you and give you a bit of an update after coming back from Gran Canaria!
Unfortunately I won't be able to do the look book I wanted to do as there was a problem with the pictures I had done for it! (sad faces all round :()
HOWEVER, nicer news, it's my birthday coming up this week! Well I say this week, it's TOMORROW!! I do get quite excited about my birthday. I personally think you're fully entitled to get excited about your birthday, it's a day when you can go 'yeah this day is all about mio!' AND you have an excuse to eat cake!! What could possibly be better 'ey?
I will be doing a post with the different outfits I am wearing for various meals I am having.
I am going to be 17 and it feels weird the thought of turning
17. I feel like it’s a fairly big step up. It sounds so much older and like you
should be all grown up and actually know what you’re doing with life in general!
#scary
I must say though I am feeling very positive and excited for
the rest of the year for reasons which I will save to talk about till a later
date.
Looking back on the year of being 16, well I can safely say
it’s been a rollercoaster of a year. There has been some very big highs and
some very low lows but all in all it’s been a year that I feel I have learnt a
lot from. I feel like I’m leaving my 16th year more confident, more
positive about where I’m heading and have learnt a lot.
It has certainly been a tough year but towards the end of it I gained something amazing out of it.
I don’t want to say too much as it’s a part of my life I’d rather be a bit quieter about but never the less I wanted to mention it.
Another thing I achieved in my 16th year in this crazy world was setting up my blog! It was definitely one my favourite decisions of the year.
However I do have a goal that by this time next year I will have made my blog so much better and have a lot more content on here.
I feel like 16 is quite a big year for pretty much everyone and has its highly stressful moments! It’s when you have the stress of revising and actually sitting your GCSE exam’s where you get put under a lot of pressure, you are finding where you want to go next, what course you want to do, which is a pretty big deal in life!
From someone who has just been through that year though, don’t put a whole load of pressure on yourself! Your grades aren’t the be all and end all. Do work though! When I was revising for my GCSE’s I just kept thinking to myself ‘do it to get the results I’ll be proud of!’ and it worked! Although I didn’t get all the results that I wanted I was still, eventually, happy with what I did get!
Anyway, that’s quite enough of me rambling on!
Hope you’re all having a good week guys.
Speak soon!
Meg x
