My weekend trip

Hey everyone,
A couple of weeks ago I went on a little adventure back to a place I haven’t been for about 8 years. This place has a lot of family history there. I have some family that still live on the island.
So the island is the Isle of Man.
I loved being back on the island after being away from it for so long.
I have family, on my dad’s side, who live there so there are a few family properties over there which makes it a lot easier to make a last minute decision to go there (also makes things a lot cheaper!)
I personally think it is a beautiful place to be. It’s so calming and has a really nice atmosphere. I felt so happy to be finally back on the island. I’ve got so many memories of being on the island as a child for family holidays so it was so nice to go back and see all the places I remember going to as a child.

I also love some of the people I got to see whilst being over there and some of the things they have on the island.

These are some great things, in a place called Douglas, that I don’t  remember being here when I was little. I think the bikes are hilarious. They are just a great bit of fun for people to see as they are walking along the promonard.
It’s nice to be able to walk round these little minature gardens early in the morning whilst not many people are about. It’s a fun thing to explore with friends!

Another good thing that Douglas has is a great high street. There are some really good shops such as new look, Dorothy Perkins, Next etc. There’s also nice places where you can grab a quick coffee or some lunch.

When I first saw this I was blown away by the tiny details that had been done with this piece of art work. There’s so much incredible detailing in this piece that each time I look at it I see something I haven’t seen before.

Another place I love on the island is a little place called Port Erin. It’s a gorgeous beach that, when it’s warm and sunny, is lovely to sit on and relax (or build sand castles, which is what I always loved doing when I was a child!).
There’s also a really nice little beach café which is a nice place to sit and eat lunch at while overlooking the sea and sand.
There are so many lovely little places on the island to go and see, either to sit on a beach or walk around.
Anyway, I shall pipe down now.
Speak to you soon!

Meg x
